Hands on Charlotte

"For the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, Hands On Charlotte is proud to create opportunities for people in the Charlotte region to pay tribute through charitable service, and thereby to recreate the spirit of community and selflessness that strengthened our nation at a crucial time.

US Airways, offers dozens of volunteer projects from Tuesday, September 6 through Sunday, September 11. There are several ways that you can join the 9/11 Tribute Movement..."

Overstream will be working with Hands on Charlotte's 9/11 volunteer park build in Lincoln Heights. We will be donating one of our trucks for a day to help get materials to and from the site. We would love to see you out there! Contact Hands on Charlotte if you would like to volunteer.

Job of the Week 8/26/11

Greg and Kim's house in Fort Mill, SC


Job duration: 15 weeks


Highlights of the job:

Swim up bar in pool with bar stools in the water!

Job challenges:
Power line relocation
Lot setback and easement lines challenged us to make all the items fit and flow right
Challenging access to site
Challenging slope needed large amounts of soil (over 300 tons of soil!)
Septic tank and leach field we have to design and work around
Existing elevations to work with (basement door, driveway steps, garage back door, right side of house) all had to come together in the end to have the perfect fit and finish.  We did it!!
