Do I need a Retaining Wall?

Retaining walls add many things to an outdoor space

  • it protects a framed wall
  • creates a walkout where one currently doesn’t exist
  • raises landscape beds
  • hides foundations
  • ease the grade slope of an area
  • raise or lower grades to meet other elevations
  • to flatten grade for pool installation

You can build one yourself – there are plenty of how-to’s on the internet – but as with many projects, it often turns into more of a project than you may expect – which is why it is beneficial to hire a professional.  Not only will you save time, but it will be done right the first time.

A professional will help you chose the right type of wall to build, the right materials, not to mention they do the heavy lifting, digging, and creating.  They will ensure the correct irrigation is in place, and your future plants will thrive.

Overstream, Inc will send a designer to your house, where they will learn about your goals for your retaining wall, discuss materials, and create a cohesive design for your outdoor space.  Overstream has partnered with Blue Max and can even walk you through the Outdoor Living Design Center where you can easily visualize which materials are best for you, and provide examples of different walls.
